The window on the left, where it says Buy the Book---FICTION NOIR: THIRTEEN STORIES, is an anthology of really fun noir stories, writers worth taking a look at. Okay, so a short story of our THE VILLAGE IDIOT is in there too. It's actually chapter 1 of the novel version, which we've just finished. We're hoping it's like a shot of whiskey: You either take down the whole thing or nothing at all.

About The Authors

Roberto Gottardello
is an ex State Department and Department of Defense sniper, who really does know all the secrets a Sig Sauer 3000 rifle has to tell--the weapon of choice in the full book version of THE VILLAGE IDIOT, coming out soon. A native of Italy, Gottardello grew up hunting big game in South Africa, and then traveled the world on behalf of the United States. After 25 years in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Sierra Leon and other glamorous locations, he has traded his Sig Sauer for a pen.

Rivka Tadjer
is a satiric author, journalist and screenwriter who specializes in the sociological implications of our smart-phone and YouTube culture--how our behavior is changing. Her first novel, TWO WEEKS UNDER, was a darkly funny metaphysical thriller about a spa in Manhattan where clients go under a two-week vanity coma to lose weight. Tadjer is a first generation American from a large, crazy-in-a-good-way pioneer family that has been in Israel since its Wild West days in 1862. Her uncle was head spy of The Stern Gang in the 1940s, and let's just say those noir rebel traits are in the DNA. Tadjer has devoted a lot of ink to identity, privacy, and security.
